Today alone I’ve participated in three conversations via text that were all purely small talk. And I feel a little stupid and confused as to why any of those even happened. It’s not like we were forced into conversing by virtue of standing together somewhere, and they were all so stilted and odd. Did not enjoy, won’t do again.

Years ago we were watching television and a person made a comment about a dress worn by Marilyn Monroe and how wondrous the dress was etc., but not because it was any kind of spectacular design, but because Monroe wore it in such a way that it became”not just a dress, but an external extension of her personality”.

I don’t think you have to be labelled narcissistic if you love yourself. I think it’s completely and utterly wonderful to able to say “I think I’m doing okay. I think I am wonderful and valuable just as I am. I like me”. I think that should be encouraged!
